The Japanese Fashion Phenomenon in Paris since 1970
Kawamura, Y 2004, 'The Japanese Fashion Phenomenon in Paris since 1970', The Japanese Revolution in Paris Fashion, viewed 28 May 2014, Berg Fashion Library, <www.bergfashionlibrary.com.ezproxy.lib.rmit.edu.au/view/JREVPARFASH/chapter-JREVPARFASH0012.xml>.
In this article Kawamura discusses Japanese fashion trends in Paris, beginning in the 1970's. The author uses their own knowledge to describe the emergence of the Japanese fashion trend in Paris. The article covers the trend beginning in the 1970's, through to the current day, breaking down the different designers and their styles across the decades. The article is useful as it provides an international context, and describes the Japanese influence on international fashion beginning in the 1970's. The article, however, does not have many references and, as such, should not be treated as an authoritative article. Despite this caveat, the article is a good supplementary document, helping to round out information on the international trends during the 1970's.
